These are my designs commemorating the 10 Year Anniversary of “Hella Good”

These designs are born from the vivid images that replay in my mind whenever I listen to the project. They are a direct translation of the personal journey that shaped them, crafted to evoke the same visceral feelings I experienced. Visit my merch store to purchase them. See the section at the bottom of the page for more details about the design choices.

“THE HELLA GOOD” TEE DESIGN EXPLANATION

I Chose to keep the design simple and classic because every other idea that came to mind was too busy, and distracting from the true highlight of the project. The two words together say everything. Combined with the tracklist, that is all any fan of the music needs to see in order to be instantly transported to a different time. This time period was indeed HELLA GOOD!

NOT MUCH ELSE NEEDS TO BE SAID, WE BOTH REMEMBER THEM DAYS!”

“MY BAY” TEE DESIGN EXPLANATION

"The City buildings represent the time I spent in Downtown Oakland, this is one of the places that taught me how to traverse a city."

"The Clocktower represents the city of Berkeley, and all of the education that it provided me."

"The Transit bus,  Rapid Transit Train, and bicycle represent the modes of transportation that I used to get around. There were various parties, concerts, interviews, meetings, and kickbacks I was able to attend because of these… I could take the bike to the bus, or the bus to the train, and the train to the place."

"The Headphones represent the interludes of my life at the time. Plus, i’m a bit of an OG when it comes to being a part of the Apple Cult so these headphones are from my era."

"The Live theater sign represents The Fox Theatre in Downtown Oakland. Playing there is still an aspiration of mine."

"The Caleborate Live sign represents my album release show at The New Parish. TNP is also significant because it’s where I honed my performance skills, I must have performed there at least 20 times."

"The San Pablo Ave. street sign is important to me because this is the street that I traveled on the most in the Bay Area."

"The Carne Asada burrito represents “Gordo‘s Taqueria” in Berkeley, a place that I used to eat at frequently. Anyone from Berkeley knows this place is a staple. In fact, it was the locals put me on. Thank You."

"The California poppies represent my Californian roots. My home state's natural beauty is always a part of my experiences."

"The Sweet & Sour Sauce is there because the extra sauce SHOULD ALWAYS be for the love (See $aggin Par). "

"The 'e' logo represents the art school I attended when I was making this album."

Note from the Artist —

"I chose not to depict weed or alcohol on this design because when I think back to all my favorite moments, what I remember most vividly are the people and the places." - C
